Stephen Balkam, FOSI's CEO, will moderate one panel and speak at another at this major UN-sponsored event in Rio de Janeiro. On Monday, Nov 12th, Stephen will speak at a Council of Europe sponsored forum entitled: Protecting children on the Internet. On Wednesday, Nov 15th, Stephen will moderate a European Commission and DCITA (Australia) Open Forum entitled, Child Protection Online, which will consider government actions, awareness-raising, industry self-regulation and research in this challenging area. The IGF will be attended by 2,000 participants from governments, industry, NGOs and academics from all over the world.
