Prior to joining the Post in 2006, she wrote for the Baltimore Sun, Capital News Service and American Journalism Review, as well as the News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla., her hometown. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Florida, and received a master's degree in the field from the University of Maryland in 2005.
