Ana Luisa is an Attorney with specialization in Telecommunications Law from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICAI/ICADE (Madrid) and with an LL.M.  International Legal  Studies – Specialization in Human Rights Law  and Gender by the American University-Washington College of Law. (Washington DC – USA).

Ana Luisa Rotta works as European Projects Director at Optenet, a Spanish company dedicated to the development of efficient cutting-edge technology in the selection and filtering of access to Internet.

Furthermore, Ana Luisa is Secretary to the Board of Directors and Project Director at the Protegeles Association, a Spanish NGO dedicated to promoting a safer use of new online technologies by children. One of the main activities of Pprotogeles is running a hotline against illegal content on the Internet. Protegeles provides a mechanism for receiving complaints from the public about alleged illegal content and/or use of the Internet. The hotline has the support of the Spanish national government, the Internet industry in Spain, and both the Spanish National Police and the Guardia Civil. Moreover, Protogeles is a member of INHOPE.

Finally, Ana Luisa was the President of INHOPE, the International Association of Internet Hotlines fighting illegal content on the Internet from 2005 to 2007.
