Director of External Affairs Comcast Corporation
Prior to joining Comcast's Washington, DC office, Otero worked at Comcast's headquarters in Philadelphia where he focused on state and local government affairs. He has also served as a regional Vice President for the company in Michigan.
Otero brings more than ten years of regulatory and legislative experience to this position, most recently working for the National Governors Association in Washington, D.C. as Director of the Economic Development and Commerce Committee. There, he was charged with implementing the legislative agenda of the nation's governors in all areas relating to state economic development and commerce.
Prior to that, he worked in several regulatory leadership capacities, including serving as Deputy Director, Office for Interoperability and Compatibility (OIC) for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; as Principal Legislative Counsel for the National league of Cities and Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Otero received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Pre-law from The City College of New York; a Masters of Public Administration from American University; and holds a Juris Doctor from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. |
