For the past 25 years, David  has had a wide range of leadership roles in the technology and telecommunications sector. He is currently FOSI's Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Working with a growing FOSI membership, David also oversees the organizations web site, its Global Resource and Information Directory (GRID) and wider online strategy. David is based in the UK and is a member of the United Nations ITU Child Online Protection Working Group, the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS), Norton's Family Safety Advisory Council, as well as an active participant in wider European Commission initiatives.

Jennifer is a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.  While in law school, Jennifer served as a Vice Chancellor on the CUA Moot Court Board and as the Vice President of the Communications Law Students Association.

As family online safety has risen to the top of the agenda in recent years, so countries have introduced legislation and regulation to deal with the challenges its citizens face. Emma has provided the in-depth research, expertise and commentary on these laws both at a country and federal level.

Emily is the Administrator at FOSI where she supports the Washington, D.C. team. Emily has provided valuable research and editorial support in building out many of the extensive country profiles within FOSI's Global Resource and Information Directory (GRID). In particular, Emily’s path finding research, has been a vitally important contribution to a project of this scale.

Nancy Gifford arrives at the Family Online Safety Institute with a varied criminal and civil law background.  For the past two years, Nancy was an attorney for the Center for Medicare Advocacy, a non-profit law firm based in Connecticut.  In this role, Nancy represented individuals in Administrative Law Judge hearings and assisted in development and presentation of federal cases challenging Medicare policy.

Matt holds a Masters degree in Politics, Security and Integration from UCL as well as a bachelors degree in History from UEA. As EMEA project manager, Matt is responsible for FOSI projects and activities in areas of policy, research, events and fund raising.

Sarah has a bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University, Elliott School of International Affairs. A recent graduate, she studied International Development and International Economics and has gained experience in her field through a number of internships with non-profits in Washington, DC and New York.

GRID - Senior Editor & Project Manager

As Senior Editor, Emma has overall responsibility for the quality and delivery of GRID’s content. Her eye for detail, factual commentary and rigorous source attribution ensures GRID stays true to its aims. As Project Manager, Emma has steered GRID through its formative development stages, as well as managed a large and fluid team of researchers.

Mike is FOSI’s Online Brand Manager, overseeing the day to day activities on FOSI.org, as well as the Institute’s wider online strategy. With more than 14 years of digital media experience, Mike also manages our online infrastructure and optimization.
