Amy graduated from the University of Wollongong (Australia) in 2006. She completed a Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in Communication Studies and Politics, graduating with distinction. Shortly after finishing her degree, Amy moved to the United States to work for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at the Embassy of Australia in Washington DC.
In 2009 Amy took on a new role within the Embassy for The Australian Defence Materiel Organization, as their Industry Support Officer and Events Coordinator.
