Project:Connect
May 9th, 2013
Center 548
New York, NY
On May 9th, 2013, the Family Online Safety Institute, Facebook, MacArthur Foundation, and Mozilla are partnering to host Project:Connect – a day-long hackathon to create a more equitable, social, and participatory Internet. Coders, designers, educators and others are encouraged to work in teams to develop social tools – apps, badges, curricula, and other prototypes — that help make for a better Web, and especially to make young people’s online experiences more civil, more empowering and more firmly under their own control. The day will culminate in a judged competition, and the best ideas will earn prizes totaling $48,000.
You can find more information about Project:Connect here and register to participate here.
