FOSI believes that comprehensive industry self-regulation, coupled with reasonable government oversight and support, creates an ideal environment in which thought leaders can exchange information, develop ideas and refine solutions.

FOSI is an active participant around the world influencing and shaping the discussion around Internet issues, online safety and digital citizenship.

Representation in Washington, D.C means that FOSI has been at the heart of the child safety debate in the United States for over a decade. Through our work with the European Commission and individual Member States within the European Union, FOSI continues to work to make the Internet safer. Recent expansion of the Institute into the Middle East and Oceania means that FOSI is now working to educate policy makers and governmental organizations and to advocate for a safer online environment for kids around the world.
