Facebook Safety Advisory Board

Internet Governance Forum
The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a multi-stakeholder forum which promotes policy discussion around issues of Internet governance. It was established in July 2006 by order of the United Nations Secretary-General and held its first meeting in the fall of 2006 in Athens, Greece.
Subsequently it has been convened in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Hyderabad, India, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt and in 2010 in Vilnius, Lithuania. More information is available at: http://www.intgovforum.org/cms/
UK Council for Child Internet Safety
The UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) unites over 100 organisations from the public and private sector working with the Government to deliver recommendations from Dr Tanya Byron’s report Safer Children in a Digital World.
The UK Government and the devolved administrations in Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland have accepted all Dr Byron’s recommendations, one of which was to set up a forum where stakeholders from across the internet safety spectrum would work together for the good of children and families. This has led to the establishment of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety.
Reporting directly to the Prime Minister, the Council will help to improve the regulation and education on internet use, tackling problems of online bullying, safer search features and violent video games. More information is available at: http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/ukccis/
Cyber Peace Initiative
The Cyber Peace aims to empower youth of any nation, through ICT, to become catalysts of change, to create safe and better futures for themselves and others, to address the root causes of conflict, to disseminate the culture of peace and to create international dialogues for a harmonious world. Internet Caucus Advisory Committee
The Internet Caucus Advisory Committee is a collection of public interest, non profit and industry groups working to educate the Congress and the public about important Internet-related policy issues. The Advisory Committee shares the goals of the Congressional Internet Caucus, which is a bi-partisan group of over 170 members of the House and Senate working to educate their colleagues about the promise and potential of the Internet. Norton Family Online Safety Council
Symantec formed the Norton Family Online Safety Council, with a panel of international experts, to provide guidance and support to the beta stages of Norton’s products and its broader online safety strategy.
