Jennifer Hanley is the Director of Legal and Policy for the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI). Jennifer is a magna cum laude graduate of the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. While in law school, Jennifer served as a Vice Chancellor on the CUA Moot Court Board and as the Vice President of the Communications Law Students Association. Jennifer held legal internships with FCC Commissioner Michael Copps, EchoStar, and Comcast. Jennifer graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from the George Washington University where she studied Political Science.

As family online safety has risen to the top of the agenda in recent years, so countries have introduced legislation and regulation to deal with the challenges its citizens face. Emma has provided the in-depth research, expertise and commentary on these laws both at a country and federal level.

Amy graduated from the University of Wollongong (Australia) in 2006. She completed a Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in Communication Studies and Politics, graduating with distinction. Shortly after finishing her degree, Amy moved to the United States to work for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at the Embassy of Australia in Washington DC.

Sarah has a bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University, Elliott School of International Affairs. A recent graduate, she studied International Development and International Economics and has gained experience in her field through a number of internships with non-profits in Washington, DC and New York.

For over a decade, Nicole Le has worked steadily in the digital space spanning areas of communication, marketing, project management, and production. Prior to FOSI, Nicole started her career working for the American Red Cross National Headquarters where she steadily took on increased responsibilities in the communication and marketing area.

Christian is the Project Assistant at the Family Online Safety Institute. His focus is project research and outreach to help grow resources and content for A Platform for Good. A believer in technology as a tool for positive change, he hopes to empower parents, teachers and teens with the resources they need to responsibly navigate the digital world and make a difference.

As Senior Editor, Emma has overall responsibility for the quality and delivery of GRID’s content. Her eye for detail, factual commentary and rigorous source attribution ensures GRID stays true to its aims. As Project Manager, Emma has steered GRID through its formative development stages, as well as managed a large and fluid team of researchers.

Mike is FOSI’s Online Brand Manager, overseeing the day to day activities on FOSI.org, as well as the Institute’s wider online strategy. With more than 14 years of digital media experience, Mike also manages our online infrastructure and optimization.
