Michael W. McKeehan

An attorney and engineer, Mr. McKeehan is currently Executive Director, Internet & Technology Policy, for Verizon, where he is responsible for developing policy strategies for next-generation network and service platforms, including fiber to the premises (FTTP). Mr. McKeehan also currently serves as the Chairman of the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI.org). Previously, Mr. McKeehan was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff in the Verizon Technology Organization, responsible for developing platform and service requirements for a variety of narrow- and wide-band communications initiatives. He holds multiple U.S. patents on call forwarding services using advanced intelligent networking technology.

Mr. McKeehan has B.S.E.E., M.B.A., and J.D. degrees, all from the University of Maryland, and is a member of the Maryland and federal bar associations.
