Corporate Responsibility Manager Telefonica
María José Cantarino joined Telefonica in 1997, developing her career in areas directly related and focused on the international projection and expansion of Telefonica. In 2005, she joined Telefonica Móviles España, where she was in charge of projects directly designed to reduce the digital divide in least favoured groups such as battered women and immigration and to promote the safer use of ICTs among children and younger users. Since 2008, she is Corporate Responsibility Manager at Telefonica, S.A., with special focus on new technologies and youth’s online behaviour, experiences and rights of young users.
She is currently involved in international projects, leveraging the online child protection and promoting the responsible use of mobile phones. She is in charge of developing projects dedicated to educate and empower children, young people and adults with the tools, knowledge and skills to navigate safely on internet. The scope of this strategy is spread to every country where Telefonica is present. She also represents Telefonica in national and international conferences and events related with new technologies and children.
She took a degree at the University Lille III (France), and a postgraduate degree in Management and Administration at the University of Valenciennes (France). |
