Associate Director-Advertising and Content Standards Verizon
Jack McArtney has more than 26 years of leadership experience building best in class mobile networks, products and strategic partnerships. An accomplished strategist and marketer, his vision and expertise in business development and product development have driven notable subscriber and revenue growth in the consumer communications and multimedia sectors. His achievements have been featured in Verizon wireless products including V CAST Music, Video and Mobile TV and in Verizon wireless' SMS and MMS product families, and in recently introduced Parental Controls for mobile services. Jack is a member of the Online Safety team at Verizon.
Offering a rare blend of creative and operational strengths and experiences, Jack has achieved exciting product launches and is recognized for his success in growing market share and revenues. His strategic approach to building new business is reflected in his contributions as a pioneer in the design and development of the first AMPS (cellular) networks in the United States. Jack contributed to many industry firsts in technology and product, launching the first subterranean network in the Washington DC Metro subway network, operating the first region wide mobile WAN in Groton, CT, and launching SMS for Verizon Wireless in 2001. Jack also directly contributed to the successful launches of VCAST Video, Music and Mobile TV service launches, and currently has most recently developed integrated Advertising and Content Standards across all Verizon lines of business; Verizon Wireless, Verizon Telecom - FiOS TV and Verizon Online Internet, and Verizon Business.
Jack received his BS from Saint Francis University. He serves on the CTIA Wireless Internet Caucus-Mobile Content Action Team.
