Administrator

FOSI is seeking a full-time Administrator to work with a small team of four in our downtown DC office near Metro Center. The ideal candidate will have an interest in technology and digital citizenship and be able to take initiative and organize themselves in the “all hands on deck” atmosphere of a small non-profit. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage FOSI’s day-to-day finances including bills, invoices, contracts, etc.
  • Oversee the office space including filing, mail, supplies, etc.
  • Coordinate with our US and UK-based accountants around FOSI’s annual and monthly budgets and financial needs
  • Assist with planning and logistics for events, including our large Annual Conference in November
  • Coordinate basic updates to the FOSI website and liaise with our web development firm
  • Create correspondence such as mailers, invitations or newsletters
  • Respond to incoming inquiries via phone or email  
  • Recruit and orient seasonal interns
  • Occasional research or writing on online safety topics

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 2-3 years office experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Solid knowledge of accounting and budgets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and G Suite

Preferred

  • Experience with website content management
  • Experience with Google Analytics, G Suite Administration, MailChimp
  • Basic graphic design knowledge
  • Social media savvy
