FlowInspect joins the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI)

Milan, Italy - Washington - FlowInspect, the leader in Internet Service Gateways, today announced that it has joined the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI), the international non-profit organization whose mission is to identify and promote best practices, tools and methods for online safety. Marco Grillo, FlowInspect CEO, joins the FOSI Board to become a director of one of the world's leading self regulatory Internet bodies. As part of its active support for the institute activities, FlowInspect will participate in and present at FOSI's annual conference in Washington on Dec. 6, 2007.

By joining FOSI, FlowInspect restates its commitment to enabling carriers and service providers to deliver a safe Web 2.0 Internet experience to families and business alike via its best-in-class Internet Service Gateway carrier-grade, network-based service platform.

"Achieving FOSI membership is a natural consequence of our mission, which is to deliver the first complete Web 2.0 parental control platform designed and engineered, ground-up, to go beyond simple URL filtering to address the growing family concerns with the safety of Internet applications, such as Instant Messaging, P2P, social networking, online gaming and Internet telephony," said Grillo. "What makes FOSI's approach unique is its attention to the role of service providers in the chain leading to a safer Internet experience for families and business alike. We are delighted to join such a qualified and high-profile member community."

At FOSI, FlowInspect joins a highly qualified community of major wireless and wireline carriers, service providers and value-added services companies like Verizon, AT&T, Telefónica, France Telecom, British Telecom, AOL Europe, and Telmex.

"We warmly welcome FlowInspect as a board-level member of our institute," said Stephen Balkam, CEO for FOSI. "FlowInspect, with its network-based, carrier centric approach, embodies one of the key directions we believe the path to a safer Internet environment has taken - seeing both wireless and wireline carriers actively participate in the effort to make the online world safe for children and their families while respecting the free expression rights of content creators."

The December conference theme is "Rights and Responsibility: Child Protection in a Web 2.0 World."
