FOSI Welcomes New Principles to Protect Children Online

March 4, 2020

The Family Online Safety Institute supports today’s launch of the Voluntary Principles to Counter Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.

Maintaining a global approach to this issue is the only way to make true progress towards preventing online exploitation and abuse, and FOSI applauds the Governments of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand for leading this fight.

FOSI promotes a culture of responsibility, bringing together government, industry, law enforcement, parents, educators, and children. The Voluntary Principles exemplify the results that can be achieved through collective action. FOSI commends this forward-looking framework that emphasizes understanding, sharing tools, and acknowledging the diligence that is necessary to keep pace with technological advancement while combating child sexual abuse material online.
