Washington, D.C. -- The Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI), the nation's leading organization dedicated to educating parents, companies, children, educators and policymakers about Internet safety, announced today that TeenSafe has become its newest member.

TeenSafe, a smartphone control, and monitoring service was built for parents by parents to help detect unsafe digital activities and facilitate high quality, authentic dialog between parents and their children. More than 1 million parents have turned to TeenSafe to effectively manage how the digital world impacts their children’s lives.

Ralph Acosta, the company’s CEO, was a panelist for the session, “Tech Solutions to Challenging Online Behaviors” at last year’s FOSI Annual Conference in Washington D.C.

“We are pleased to join the outstanding digital safety education efforts of FOSI,” said Ralph Acosta, CEO of TeenSafe. “Understanding and practicing digital safety enables families to enjoy together the many benefits of smartphones and Internet.”

“We are delighted that TeenSafe has joined FOSI,” said Stephen Balkam, CEO of the Family Online Safety Institute. “We believe in a combination of tools, rules and schools to keep kids safe online. TeenSafe provides an innovative tool that parents can use in combination with household rules and regular conversation with their kids about safety.”

TeenSafe joins a high-profile community of FOSI members including Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and others.
