Extra, extra! Read all about it! We’ve got some exciting news.
Along with Facebook, the MacArthur Foundation, and Mozilla, the Family Online Safety Institute is proud to announce Project:Connect! What is it, you ask? Project:Connect will be a series of different activities with one end goal: helping young people more easily make smart and responsible choices online.
To kick things off, we, and our partners, will be hosting a hackathon in New York City on May 9th. Sounds pretty cool, huh? Well, it is! That’s because the event will bring together programmers, designers, and educators to develop prototypes for stuff like apps, badges, curriculum – you name it – in pursuit of a better Web. And, what could be better than a better Web? Not much. We know.
As it gets closer, we’ll be blogging about the Project:Connect hackathon and all the incredible ideas that come from it. We’re pretty sure you won’t want to miss it so be sure to check back with us soon!
