Andrea is a telecommunications industry leader, with more than 25 years of varied experience in finance, business development, communications and corporate strategy.

Today, she leads a national team responsible for the execution of a diverse portfolio comprised of TELUS’ external communications, government relations, real estate, travel services, corporate sponsorships, event marketing and our corporate social responsibility strategy. Andrea’s visionary leadership and stellar results have earned her a coveted position on the 2012 WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards, as well as being named a Canada Clean 50 Winner in 2013.

A supporter and ambassador of TELUS’ deeply rooted philosophy – we give where we live – Andrea volunteers extensively in her local community. She is a respected member of the TELUS Calgary Community Board, the Mayor’s Champions of Art Council, Theatre Calgary Board and the Management Advisory Council of the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. Previously, she served on the boards of the Alberta Ballet and the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts.

Andrea is passionate about leveraging technology to improve the lives of youth and is a driving force and the executive spokesperson for TELUS WISE, an industry-leading educational program on Internet and smartphone 6 that offers access to best-in-class training and resources to keep children safe online. TELUS WISE launched nationally in October 2013, and is being offered free of charge to all Canadian children, parents and concerned adults, as well as community partners.

Andrea earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alberta. She lives in Calgary and shares a love of sports, the outdoors, reading, and movies with her husband and two children
