General Manager

Carolyn Bunting is General Manager for Internet Matters Limited, an independent, not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to making the Internet a safer place for parents and their children. Launched in May 2014, Internet Matters provides access to the best and most up to date advice on how parents can help keep their children safe online. Internet Matters has been established with funding from the four biggest Internet Service Providers in the UK, however it aims to work with other major brands to become a cross-industry body. The venture has three objectives, to help parents learn about e-safety, to give them information about setting and using network filters, and to encourage parents to talk to their children about Internet safety.

In addition to her time spent at Internet Matters, Carolyn has a wealth of consumer marketing experience gained in senior marketing positions in both Sky and Vodafone. This experience will be key in trying to reach out to parents to help them learn about the issues, talk about them with their children, and take appropriate action to deal with any internet safety issues. With two young children of her own, she is passionate about ensuring children can enjoy the Internet safely, and that parents are can get quick and easy access to the right tools and advice to help achieve this.
