Sarah Elwell is in her seventh year as a library media specialist in DC Public Schools, entering the library after eight years as a secondary English teacher in DCPS. She has worked as a local professional development instructor through the Washington Teachers’ Union and has been a national trainer with the American Federation of Teachers since 2009. A native Washingtonian and a DCPS graduate, she is dedicated to enhancing the quality of instruction and educational opportunities for students from every angle. Sarah earned her bachelor's degree in English and education from Swarthmore College and her master's degree in School Library Media at the Catholic University of America.
