WASHINGTON, DC - The Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) today announced that Vodafone has joined as a member. Vodafone, headquartered in London, is one of the world's largest mobile telecommunications companies by revenue and a strong advocate for child safety online.
Vodafone is one of only 26 companies to have signed up to the ICT Coalition for a Safer Internet for Children and Young People's guiding principles. Vodafone is also a signatory to the European Commission's CEO Coalition on Child Safety Online.
"We are excited to welcome Vodafone as the newest member of FOSI," said Stephen Balkam, CEO of FOSI. "Vodafone's global reach will help us spread the message of digital citizenship and online safety to even more people and we are looking forward to bringing internet safety education to an international audience."
